Dave from South Dakota, calls his a “player’s collection” and notes that there a couple more kicking around his house. In back are an all-original ’65 Fender Deluxe Reverb Dave has had since high school and an early-’90s Fender Acoustisonic Junior amp. In the middle are a ’97 Gibson L-5 Wes Montgomery limited edition with mother-of-pearl heart inlay, a ’99 Godin Multiac electric nylon-string, and a ’97 Gretsch 6120 in Tiger Maple. The front row plays host to his ’06 Taylor 414 Fall Limited Edition in Claro Walnut. “I’m working on a good acoustic archtop next, but they’re really expensive,” he says. “Maybe if I sell my house and move in with my kids….”
