C.F. Martin & Co. will unveil three innovative guitars at this week’s Musikmesse show in Germany – the PA4 rosewood cutaway series includes a Dreadnought (DCPA4), Grand Performance (GPCPA4), and Orchestra Model (OMCPA4). Like their Sapele and Siris PA4 predecessors, PA4 rosewood models are constructed with back and sides are matched East Indian rosewood. Their bookmatched Sitka spruce soundboards utilize Martin’s hybrid “A-frame” scalloped bracing. Each has a slim, more-parallel taper at the 12th fret, bridge spacing is modified to 2 3/16”, and the user can add in Fishman’s F1 Analog electronics array.
