Vince Gill, who appeared on the cover of the February ’12 issue of VG, has several proverbial irons in the fire. On April 3, he will appear at the Revlon Concert for The Rainforest Fund at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium in New York City on a bill that also features Sting, Elton John, James Taylor, and Rosanne Cash. On April 10, he will perform on Keith Urban’s We’re All For The Hall concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with Urban, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, Little Big Town, Diamond Rio, The Blue Sky Riders, and others. On April 17, he will headline Jammin’ to Beat the Blues, a benefit concert for Mental Health America of Middle Tennessee, at the Ryman. April 26, he will perform at MerleFest in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
Vince Gill Working on Several Projects
Gill will also be featured on the PBS music and travel series Music Voyager: Tennessee, which will air on PBS stations in April. He will tour this summer and has recorded on recent albums by Chris Botti, Don Williams, Bonnie Tyler, and Rodney Crowell. The Crowell project, Kin, Songs by Mary Karr and Rodney Crowell, also features guest vocals by Norah Jones, Lucinda Williams, Lee Ann Womack, Rosanne Cash, Chely Wright, Kris Kristofferson, and Emmylou Harris.
