Pioneered by Jimi Hendrix, the Uni-Vibe became synonymous with psychedelic rock sounds in the 1960s. Strymon’s modern interpretation is the Ultraviolet Vintage Vibe.

The Ultraviolet offers a variety of tone-shaping controls. Its Mode toggle provides three mix configurations; Chorus delivers the classic Uni-Vibe by creating a 50/50-mix of dry/wet signal, Blend reduces intensity by changing the ratio to 70/30, and Vibrato removes dry signal completely for a super-wet psychedelic effect.

The Bias switch works in tandem with the Intensity knob in three modes – Low, Mid, and High. These define range or sweep of Intensity. Speed and Intensity work together to fine-tune rate and depth, while Volume adjusts final output. Overall sound quality is rich, thick, and smooth with exceptional depth and feel.

In Vibrato mode and with Intensity set to zero, the Ultraviolet can function as a clean boost.

Other features include true/buffered bypass, stereo connectivity, USB-C for MIDI (that can access 300 presets and other things), and an expression-pedal jack.

With its intuitive controls, superb sound and ability to create a range of mind-bending effects, the Ultraviolet is a great choice for adding psychedelic modulation vibes to your sound.
