At #NAMM2017 Fender launched an update to its now-30-year-old American Standard series with the arrival of the American Professional series, including the revival of the offset Jazzmaster and Jaguar. And there are new colors available as well, including this surf-perfect Mystic Seafoam — with a maple fretboard, too! Fear not, though, the classic sunburst with rosewood fretboard is available too.

Jeff Beck was a monster surprise at Gretsch’s top-secret, #NAMM2017 tribute showcase to Duane Eddy and Gene Vincent guitar great Cliff Gallup. Jeff blew the doors off at the 300-person event, ripping through Vincent classics on Gretsch’s new Cliff Gallup Signature Model Duo Jet — and he was obviously enjoying himself! Jimmy here… at NAMM’s “TEC Tracks” a discussion about the recording of “Toys In The Attic” with Producer Jack Douglas and Guitarist Joe Perry. Jack will be receiving the “Hall of Fame award” and Joe will be receiving the “Les Paul Foundation” award later this evening.
