Grammy Museum Mississippi, a new 28,000-square-foot facility, will open its doors this weekend in Cleveland, Mississippi. Festivities begin with an event hosted by The Recording Academy Memphis Chapter and culminate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 5. Built and operated by the Cleveland Music Foundation, the museum is housed on the campus of Delta State University and will host events, educational programming, multimedia presentations, and interactive permanent and traveling exhibits including a display that will introduce visitors to the impact of Mississippi’s songwriters, producers and musicians on the traditional and modern music landscape. The first Grammy Museum outside of Los Angeles, one of its current displays includes vintage instruments supplied by Drew Berlin and others. For more, visit grammymuseumms.org.
