Brad Paisley and the Santa Cruz Guitar Company (SCGC) today debuted their Brad Paisley signature guitar. Richard Hoover, owner and founder of SCGC, worked with Paisley to design a guitar based on the company’s Pre-War Dreadnought. The guitar, dubbed the B/PW, honors Paisley’s dedication to the sustainability of tone woods and is built with several custom touches.
“I’ve never picked up a Santa Cruz that wasn’t magical,” Paisley said. “This is the type of guitar you build up to, and the idea of one of my fans or contemporaries using it would make me proud. I know if someone gets one of these they are getting exactly what I want them to have.”
The B/PW is made with East Indian rosewood and sitka spruce with a 25.375” scale, 1 3/4” nut width, custom voiced/advanced X-bracing, herringbone rosette and top purfling, ebony peghead overlay with custom cowboy-hat inlay, Vintage Tinted top, Waverly tuners, Santa Cruz Parabolic Mid-Tension strings, and a black tooled-leather case. its retail price is $5,450.
Santa Cruz builds approximately 600 guitars each year.
