This September, Phil Collen auctioned off a custom Jackson PC1 guitar. The guitar, played by Collen throughout the Rock of Ages tour, sold for $15,000. The sale of the guitar benefits the Gerson Institute, a San Diego non-profit organization dedicated to promoting an alternative treatment for cancer and other degenerative diseases. In an extraordinary act of charity Phil included $5000 of his own to the auction’s total.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, a more than appropriate time for Collen himself to introduce the auction’s winner and present the check to the Gerson Institute.
