Reeves Gabrels and the people at Reverend Guitars have made some changes to the guitarist’s signature model. Gabrels opted for the all new Railhammer Chisel Pickups instead of the former configuration.
The signature model also now comes in a satin finish, which gives a three-dimensional depth to the flame-maple top. The Reeves will still come in the popular Transparent Black, as well as a modern Transparent Orange, both in the new Satin Finish.
The solid Korina body has a recessed Wilkinson trem, and the pickup selector is a toggle-style switch, which can be rotated at any angle to suit the player. In addition to the volume/tone/bass contour knobs, featured on all Reverends, The Reeves also has a push-pull phase switch.
The second Pete Anderson Signature model, the Satin Black Eastsider will now come with a Maple neck for smoother playing and crisper sounds. The Tobacco Burst versions still have the Rosewood Fretboard, and the mellower tone that goes with it.
The Eastsider is in homage to vintage guitars, with a number of traditional features. The guitar has a Korina body, a satin finish, and a compound radius fretboard. It is available in T-style, with two pickups, and S-style, with three pickups and a tremolo. Add to that: custom alnico pickups, stainless steel saddles, and a graphite nut, and it adds up to the perfect old-meets-new guitar.
